中国外交部网站２００８年5月15日报道，沙特国王阿卜杜拉决定向中方损赠5000万美元和1000万美元物资，帮助中国抗震救灾。据悉，这是地震发生后中方收到的最大数额的国外援助。 After the occurrence of Wenchuan Earthquake, governments and international organizations in many countries lend a helping hand. 2008年5月20日和24日凌晨，沙特阿拉伯王国捐赠给四川地震灾区的先期救援物资由专机运抵成都双流机场。沙特先期救援物资为辛尼迪采购的“中国制造”，这批物质包括灾区所急需的14000顶帐篷和毯子、方便食品、儿童奶粉、救援工具等。
在成都双流国际机场，中方人员发现救援帐篷的包装上清楚地印着“MADE IN CHIAN（中国制造）”。一个沙特官员说：“这些都是崭新的帐篷，中国产，是沙特之前从中国进口的，质量很好，很受欢迎。现在中国急需大批帐篷，我们就把能够搜集到的这些新的帐篷运过来了。”
原来，这是一批辛尼迪公司为沙特政府在华采购的救灾贮备物资，辛尼迪公司很好地完成了在华的采购任务，此次捐赠的帐篷大都是由辛尼迪公司下属工厂-----中国诸暨圣尼迪纺织有限公司生产的产品。
On the morning of 20th and 24th May 2008, the aid goods and materials donated by Saudi Arabia were transported to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport. This batch of materials is all made in China, including the needed 14,000 tent and blankets, convenient food, powdered milk and rescue tools etc.
At the airport, Chinese officials found that the parcels are printed “Made in China”. One Saudi official said that these are new tent, made in China. They are imported by Saudi Arabia from China due to their good quality and popularity in Saudi. Now, China needs aid, we gathered them and transport them here.
In fact, these are purchased by Al Sedini in China for storage of relief of disaster; Al Sedini finished the purchase task well and in a prompt way. These tents are largely produced by China Zhujishengnidi Textile Co., Ltd.
